If you don't like exercising on a bike, then don't spend your time getting a bike. Of course, if you love to use recumbent bikes, then this would be the exercise equipment you should go with. You need to determine what you like or don't. You can try taking a spinning class, or even go out for a jog. Then try out push-ups and the bench press. Try out ab exercise machines in your local gym. Experiment a little to see what are the best options for you, and form your workout based on a balanced approach to bodybuilding and aerobic fitness. Keeping interest in what you're doing will help keep you motivated, and consistency will help you get into shape.
